This was my first week moved into my University, and it was quite exciting. Here is a list of things that happened, because a lot of things happened and I like lists:

1. I moved in (and like my roommates)

2. I made the Cheer team (!)

3. My room is all decorated and I loveee it (I'll post pictures)

4. I witnessed some random guy hit my (brand new with only 200 miles on it) car

5. The said random guy happens to live right across the hall from me

6. My boyfriend drove to visit me and gave me a rose (:

7. And then took me on a much needed grocery shopping trip

8. After cheering at Orientation, the girls and I went out to eat at BJ's

9. And tried a Pazookie (an amazing dessert, trust)

10. Then on Wednesday night after practice, we went to BJ's again and got bombarded by a bunch of drunk college guys; they were quite entertaining

11. My roommates really like my style

12. I needed to change my schedule to drop a French class and replace it with Psych and it worked out perfectly; every other class time was closed except for the exact one I needed

...And this morning we were supposed to go to Freshman Camp, but we all decided (as of 20 minutes before we were supposed to leave) to skip out on it. Emily's mom was there to see us off, so we took our "luggage" and walked toward the buses slowly and kept on looking through our umbrella (it was pouring the entire time) to check if she had left yet; her mom even took pictures from the drivers' seat of her car of us standing in the rain, completely soaked; we were like "WHY isn't she driving away yet!" And when she finally did drive away, we went back to the car and waited until we were sure she was gone,

And then drove back to our apartment.

We made Chicken Soup and watched movies and baked a Funfetti cake,

And I am positive that I am having more fun here than at that Camp.

Haha

And I'm still trying my hand at making clothes, so I made this skirt. It's a bit short because this was strictly excess fabric from covering some bulletin boards for my new apartment.

There Are

Today while I was driving, I looked out of the passenger side window and imagined myself in the corn field I was passing or tripping on heated asphalt under my shoes or standing outside of a small red brick house and gazing at the birch tree shading that front yard.

And I think about how all of that feels, just being there, with winds placing me. Upon thinking this today, it was one of the few moments when I would see people and honestly not be judgemental, but instead appreciative of something about them, anything about them, no matter what insignificant or devoted act I happened to witness them partaking.

I appreciate and have optimism that there is beauty in everything and the only thing one would essentially have to do is simply think and agree that it is so. I was very unhappy one year ago, one month ago, even yesterday. But know this is the reason I felt no frustration for the woman ahead of me in the grocery checkout line, why I wasn't bothered by the unheeded laughter of another woman on her cell phone, and why I cried thinking about how often Andrew emphasizes that he loves me.

There are so many beautiful and competent things in this world. And I know they have been here much longer than I have thought so.

First Dress

So this was my first ever DIY dress. Originally, it was just going to be a simple tube dress, but I added the bow because I did not want to worry about wearing a bra with it, honestly. Hahah. I still need to finish the hem, but I was excited(:

France Trip

This is the most amazing trip I have ever been on. Everything in France was so beautiful. I took 1,741 pictures! I loved my host, Mathilde, and her family; they were so nice. I plan on visiting them again when I study abroad in two years.
